Calm, structure and creativity, all in a day's work. We're looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist autism provision in Yardley on a full time, long term basis.

What you'll be doing:

Supporting autistic pupils in small, nurturing classes

Using visual timetables, sensory strategies and clear routines to help pupils feel safe and settled

Supporting communication through approaches such as PECS and Makaton

Working alongside an experienced teacher and SENCo to help every pupil make progress

What we're looking for:

Experience supporting autistic children or young people (school, care or personal experience all count)

PECS, Makaton or Team Teach experience is a bonus, not a must

A patient, adaptable and positive approach

An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply
